1. Beginner? Consider This.
All our surfskates are delivered complete and pre-assembled, making it easy and saving you the trouble of choosing components. If you're new to both skateboarding and longboarding, it's a good idea to opt for a slightly longer and wider board, providing more surface area to stand on and greater stability. A longer wheelbase also means smoother turns and less responsiveness compared to surfskates with shorter wheelbases. Keep in mind that it might feel a bit wobbly and unfamiliar at first until you've mastered the technique, so using proper protective gear initially is recommended. Once you've learned the technique, the feeling of riding a surfskate is unbeatable.

2. What Makes a Skatesurf a Surfskate?
Surfskate is designed to simulate the feeling of wave surfing on asphalt. If you're looking for a surfskate, the major difference between surfskate, skateboard, and longboard lies mainly in the front truck. It's designed in a way that enables a completely different type of carving and pumping technique than on any other type of board. So, if you're aiming to get a surfskate, focus mainly on the type of truck made for pumping and carving.

3. Which Board is Best for Improving Surfing Technique?
This, of course, depends on your level as a surfer and the type of surfing you engage in. If you want to improve your pumping technique and practice tight carves, we recommend surfskates from the brand Yow. With their self-developed front truck, you can achieve smooth and tight turns that closely resemble wave surfing on asphalt. If you prefer something more forgiving and less radical, we suggest choosing a surfskate from Long Island or BTFL.

4. Brand, Price, and Quality?
At Stand Tall, we only work with brands and products that we wholeheartedly believe in. Naturally, there are different levels, and as with many things, you get what you pay for. A higher-priced product usually comes with higher-quality components that last longer.
