L1 Premium Goods

L1 has committed to producing premium quality garments with the highest attention to detail. From designers to fit to choice of materials, the highest priority is on quality and details. The goal is to incorporate a timeless design into the snowboarding fashion and together with a team of unique people they have succeeded. L1 was early in the manufacture of tighter snowboard pants but today has a much wider collection without in any way departing from their basic style.

Focusing on producing premium snowboard clothing inspired by streetwear with a good fit, carefully selected materials and a great sense of detail.

L1 was created as a side project by a designer at Nitro Snowboards. The idea was to create more technical garments for the mountain with inspiration from the street fashion. The clothes could be used both on the mountain and in the city while focusing on quality and feeling. L1 was early out with a, among other things, making tight snowboard pants as well as a more well-tailored silhouette and not the traditional boxy fit that then dominated the market. Team riders were allowed to participate in the design process and to design jackets and pants that they could wear both on the slopes and outside.



Jon Kooley was a team rider for L1 for a long time and helped design garments he wanted to use and see in the market. After a few years as a team rider, Jon was later asked to take over all the design for L1 Premium Goods. Jon does all the designs from his Salt Lake city office and tries to find inspiration in everything from vintage to Scandinavian fashion and Japanese street culture combined with timeless classics.



The pants are mainly what put L1 on the map. You work with three different fit which is Regular fit, Slim fit and Skinny fit. The last-named fit Skinny fit has been worn and loved by thousands of people around the world over the years. Both guys and girls who have been looking for a tighter ski pants to use on the mountain, the Thunder pants on men and Heartbreaker on ladies have become the obvious choice. Mainly because of fit and quality.

As Jon himself says that the L1 is designed to combine the best of both worlds, technical outerwear that keeps you warm and dry on the mountain while not compromising your style on or off the slopes.
