We have snowboards for all levels and terrain.

The origin of snowboard is hard to define. Some say that the first snowboard was created 1929 by M.J. ”Jack” Burchett. He used a plank of plywood and strapped his feet with clothesline and horse reins.
Others say that the first snowboard was created by Sherman Poppen in 1964. He connected two skis, called it The Snurfer and gave it to his daugther. The Snurfer was later on licenced and sold over half a million times as a kids toy, even though Snurfer competitions were held.
The surfer Dimitrije Milovich started to manufacture snowboards based on surfboards in 1970. He wanted to replicate the joy of surfing, but on snow. Dimitrije Milovich did the first real attempt to surf on snow.

In other words, there is a diversity of opinions regarding the origin of snowboard. But Snowboarding as we know it, was born in the 1980’s and two gentlemen played a very big role in the evolutions of snowboarding, Jake Burton and Tom Sims. Jake Burton suprised the world in 1977 when he won a Snurfer competition with his own board which also lead to the end of The Snurfer. In 1980 Burton implemented the first real ski technology and made the snowboards as we know of today. Tom Sims created his first snowboard in 1977, in his junior high shop-class. Tom was obsessed with skateboarding and tried to go out in the snow and slide down the hill with his board. Sims was later on the main competitor to Burton.

Snowboard Types

Camber profiles

Traditional Camber Snowboards

Provides the stability, and pop many shredders can´t live without. The amount of snap and support you get from a cambered board is unrivalled. The contact points are located in the nose and tail. There are different Cambers for different type of use, but Camber is Camber there is no point in over complicating it!

Rocker Snowboards

The opposite to Camber in a shape of a ”U”. The contact point is under your feet. Rocker gives you playfullness and true pressability.

Hybrid Camber Snowboards

A mix of Camber and Rocker, rocker between your feet and camber on the outside. Hybrids gives you the perfect mix of playfullness and stability.

Flat Camber Snowboards

Flat camber is just as it sounds, flat. This is a very forgiving profile and is perfect for beginners.

Shape

Directional Snowboards

Snowboards with a short tail and longer nose. The bindings are mounted with a setback. This shape gives you better stability and great float in powder. This shape is perfect for All Mountain and Freeride snowboards.

Twin snowboards

The classic park shape! The bindings are center mounted and the nose and tail are identical. This allows you to ride in both directions (regular & switch) with ease. Twin shaped snowboards are perfekt for the park rider and the jibber.

Directional Twin Snowboards

The Directional Twin snowboard is as it sounds, a mix of Directional and Twin. The shape itself is like a Twin, but the bindings are mounted with a setback. This is the ultimate All Mountain shape.

Base
The base of the board affect how fast your board will be. Snowboarders don’t like to get stuck and walk, or god forbid, beg skiers for assistance. Choose the best base for you and take care of it! If you apply wax on a regular basis you will never be disappointed on the mountain and you will also increase the lifetime of your base. Don’t forget to apply wax before storing your board.

Extruded Base
Extruded bases are made out of P-tex and are very easy to maintain and repair. This base is durable and don’t need as much wax as a Sintered base. If you’re a park rider and/or don’t want to apply wax that often, the extruded bases is your snowboard base.

Sintered Base
Sintered bases are also made out of P-tex but with an entirely different method. This base absorbs wax as no other and provides a noticable speed when taken care of. This is the snowboard base for the rider who wants to reach lightning speed and is willing to apply wax from time to time.
