Stuntwood Session

The end of the season in Falun that became one of Sweden's biggest snowboard events

Our friends behind Stuntwood Session outdo themselves year after year. What started as a small end-of-season event in Falun Snowpark in spring 2014 has grown into one of Sweden's most iconic snowboard events. Today, Stuntwood Session brings together hundreds of riders - from beginners to world stars - for a few days of creative park riding, community and pure snowboarding joy. With a newly built park every year and an unparalleled atmosphere, the event has become an institution in the Swedish snowboard scene.

The start of something big
It was spring 2014 when Max Månsson and Joakim Sahlberg gathered their friends for an end-of-season event in Falu Snowpark. The idea was simple: a chill day on the board with friends. Max, then in charge of Falu Snowpark, and Joakim, who had just started at Stuntwood Distribution, took what was left of the season's snow and built an improvised spring park. Rails were placed in creative lines, gap jumps were formed, and soon about fifty riders rolled in to enjoy the slushy spring day. It was the start of something much bigger - the Stuntwood Session.

From fifty riders to 500
Fast forward ten years, and what started as a spontaneous hangout has turned into one of Sweden's biggest snowboarding events. Every spring, around 500 riders gather in Falun to end the season in a park that makes everyone's jaw drop. It's not just about snowboarding - it's a celebration, a chance to meet, laugh and round off the winter in style.

But what is it that brings so many people to the heart of Dalarna?

A playground for everyone - from beginners to world stars
For five days, magic happens in Falu Snowpark. Snow is moved in quantities with snow groomers, excavators and sometimes with your bare hands. Every year the park is rebuilt from scratch. The rails are removed, and instead jumps, bowls and bends are created that challenge and inspire. This is no ordinary park - it's a playground, designed to make both beginners and pros have fun.

"The pros might fly over whole moguls, while someone just starting out might only dare to lift off the snow for the first time," says Max Månsson. "That's what makes snowboarding so unique - beginners and world stars can ride side by side, without it feeling weird. Stuntwood Session is snowboarding at its best."

Now a quartet behind the scenes
It's no longer just Max and Joakim running the show. Today, Stuntwood Session is a quartet with Johan Hermansson, Zebbe Landmark, Max Månsson and Joakim Sahlberg in the lead. Together they ensure that the event continues to push the boundaries of what is possible to build and create - and above all, that everyone who comes to Falun feels like part of the family.

So whether you want to impress with tricks or just glide around in the spring sun, Stuntwood Session is the place where the season ends in the very best way.
