Snowboard - Rome Rene 160W
If you ever have one of those days when it is hard to find the stoke and inspiration, we strongly recommend watching a few clips of Finland’s very own human stick of dynamite: Rene Rinnekangas! If Rene cannot get you excited about snowboarding, we do not know what will.
Rome Rene was developed with Finnish style master Rene Rinnekangas and built for creative park laps, sidehits and all-mountain good times. It combines a stable and poppy feel with enough forgiveness for presses, butters and technical freestyle. This is a board for riders who want to go big while retaining a playful and relaxed feel underfoot.
The Directional Twin shape delivers a balanced freestyle feel that works equally well regular and switch, with a little extra drive and control when riding forwards. Fusion Camber provides pop and edge hold, while rocker in the nose and tail makes the board more forgiving and smooth through uneven terrain.
Pop Core and Directional Triple Bamboo Omega HotRods give Rene a lively mix of power and playfulness. The bamboo rods create natural pop, while carbon-reinforced Omega zones add response when loading jumps and sidehits. Triax Glass keeps the board stable as speed increases, and the SinterStrong Base provides good glide for both park laps and long days across the mountain.
Rene Wide is a wider version that suits you with larger feet. With a wider waist, you minimize the chance of your toes or heels catching in the snow during deep turns.
The snowboard is factory waxed and tuned, ready for the mountain.
Flex: 7/10
A responsive and lively flex with plenty of support for jumps and higher speeds, while remaining forgiving enough for presses, tweaks and creative freestyle.
The scale is based on 1 being “Soft and Playful” and 10 being “Stiff and Responsive”.
Riding style:
All-Mountain Freestyle. Choose Rene if you want to ride like Rene but would rather skip the effort that comes with a super-stiff full-camber board, and prefer something more accessible and pressable for park, sidehits, jumps, switch riding and creative laps across the mountain.
Park: 6/10
All Mountain: 8/10
Powder: 5/10

Camber between the bindings delivers pop, stability and edge hold, while rocker in the nose and tail makes the board more press-friendly, easier to turn and more forgiving.

Pop Core:
A versatile and durable wood core made with alternating strips of poplar and paulownia. The combination provides low weight, lively response and a stable feel.
Directional Triple Bamboo Omega HotRods:
Three directionally positioned bamboo rods in the core provide versatile response and natural pop. Carbon-reinforced Omega zones add extra power and faster energy transfer.
Triax Glass Laminate:
Fibreglass running in three directions increases torsional rigidity, stability and precise response when charging bigger jumps or riding at higher speeds.
SinterStrong Base:
A fast, durable and relatively low-maintenance sintered base for park and all-mountain riding.

A traditional sidecut with one consistent radius for natural, predictable turns and a consistent edge-to-edge feel.
