1. Beginner? Opt for a Complete Skateboard A complete skateboard is perfect for those looking to buy their first skateboard. It comes pre-assembled and ready to ride right away. The components are selected to work together, so you don't need to worry. Just focus on the skateboard width you want. The most common skateboard width for adults is 8"-8.25". If you're a child, you can look at our narrower boards, up to 7.75". See all our complete skateboards.
2. Buying Individual Parts? Consider This A great way to get exactly what you want is to assemble each part of the skateboard separately. It takes a bit of time, but the effort is well worth it. Once you've put together all the parts, you'll have a skateboard that's completely unique to your taste. Start with the deck (griptape is always included), then find a pair of trucks, choose your favorite wheels, check out the bearings you prefer, and finish with the screws. This way, you'll have a skateboard that's perfectly tailored to you and your needs. If you're unsure about which parts to choose, feel free to contact us, and we'll assist you. You can also learn more about each part in our Skateboard Guide.
3. Skateboard Width It's a matter of preference, but for adults, a width of 7.75"-8.25" is a good guideline. For children, we recommend boards from our narrowest up to 7.75". Learn more about skateboard width in our skateboard guide.
4. Brand, Price, and Quality We choose to offer products we believe in and would ride ourselves. As with many things, you get what you pay for. Slightly more expensive products are often better and more durable. This applies to skateboard products as well.
