Snowboard Binding - Rome Katana AW Pro FASE Black
The binding that has become a modern classic and a benchmark for ultra-adjustable premium bindings. If you are particular about your riding experience and the connection between your board and bindings, the Katana lets you fine-tune every detail.
Rome Katana AW Pro FASE is the binding for riders who want lightning-fast entry and maximum response when the speed increases. The FASE® system lets you step in with any standard snowboard boot, while AutoBack, FastStrap and the locked-in toe strap retain the secure feel of a traditional two-strap binding.
The carbon-reinforced baseplate provides ultra-fast power transfer and an immediate response when carving, charging steep lines or going big on natural features. At the same time, the AsymWrap chassis retains a surfy and tweak-friendly feel, while OmniFlex Ankle Straps and ProGrip Toe Straps wrap evenly and comfortably around the boot.
PivotMount FASE makes it possible to position the ankle strap for more power or greater freedom of movement. Katana AW Pro FASE is a premium binding for full-throttle all-mountain riding, lightning-fast reactions and riders who want both fast entry and uncompromising performance.
Never Miss a Day Kit
Extra ladders, screws and washers are included with the binding, allowing you to quickly replace a small wear part and keep riding.
We recommend matching the stiffness (Response Rating/Flex) of your snowboard, bindings and boots as closely as possible for the best performance from your setup. Ask us if you need help!
Recommended Use:
Katana AW Pro FASE is ideal for riders who prioritize rapid response, high speed and powerful edge control, while still wanting the board feel and tweakability of the AsymWrap platform.
Response Rating: 7-9/10
Adjustability: 10/10
Recommended Level:
Advanced-Expert
Technical Information:
FASE® Fast Entry System - Fast entry and exit with the locked-in fit and control of a traditional two-strap binding.
AutoBack - The highback automatically closes around the boot during entry and opens when you lift your foot out. It can fold flat for chairlifts and storage.
FastStrap - The ankle ladder remains connected to the buckle, enabling fast one-handed entry with ratchet adjustment for fine-tuning the pressure.
Locked-In Toe Strap - The toe strap retains its setting between runs for fast entry and can be fine-tuned whenever needed.
AsymWrap Chassis - Three connection points between the heel hoop and baseplate provide natural board flex, a surfy feel and rapid edge control.
Carbon Composite Baseplate - The baseplate is made from 30% carbon and 70% nylon for low weight, lightning-fast response and powerful energy transfer.
OmniFlex Ankle Straps - Rome’s most responsive AuxTech® strap with a TPU spine for locked-in comfort and precise power transfer.
ProGrip Toe Straps - An AuxTech®-powered toe strap that shapes evenly around the boot and provides a secure hold.
PivotMount FASE® - Four positions on each side provide 16 possible strap settings, ranging from more playful to maximum response.
Adjustable Baseplate - The baseplate can be length-adjusted to center the boot and optimize the fit.
Universal Adjustable Disks - Compatible with 2x4, 4x4 and Channel systems, with adjustment options for fine-tuning the position.
2° Dual Density Footbed - A canted footbed that absorbs impacts and places the knees and hips in a more natural position.
Forged Aluminum HeelHoop - Forged aluminum provides high strength and stability without unnecessary weight.
Highback Construction - A highback made from 15% fiberglass and 85% nylon provides powerful yet forgiving support.
