Snowboard - Rome Stale Fish 160
Rome Stale Fish is Ståle Sandbech’s first choice for bottomless powder days, deep euro-carves and full-speed riding across the mountain. Stale Fish is a perfect addition to your quiver if you already own a traditionally sized all-mountain board, or simply want a board that never gets tired of destroying powder.
The short and wide directional shape provides excellent float without feeling clumsy, while the powerful tail delivers stability and response when the board is put on edge. Thanks to the short-and-wide shape, you can comfortably size down by around five centimetres for a playful and quick turning experience.
The large nose, 15-16 mm of taper and setback stance help the board float naturally in deep snow. Directional Diamond 3D gives the nose a smooth three-dimensional shape that reduces resistance in powder and makes turns easier to initiate. The result is a snowboard that feels surfy in soft snow while remaining precise and powerful on firm pistes.
Free-the-Ride Camber combines rocker in the nose, a flatter zone beneath the front foot and positive camber through the rear section of the board. Pop Core, Carbon HotRod and Directional Flax Walls add power, stability and snap as you accelerate out of turns. Stale Fish is a genuine powder weapon that also loves long carves, natural tree hits and all-mountain riding.
Stale Fish is a wide board, but it welcomes every boot size equally!
The snowboard is factory waxed and tuned, ready for the mountain.
Flex: 7/10
A responsive and stable flex with plenty of power for high speed, deep carves and technical freeride, while remaining forgiving enough for a surfy feel in powder.
The scale is based on 1 being “Soft and Playful” and 10 being “Stiff and Responsive”.
Riding style:
Freeride / All Mountain. Choose Stale Fish if you want a powerful snowboard for powder, carving, tree riding, natural sidehits and fast lines across the mountain.
Park: 6/10
All Mountain: 9/10
Powder: 9/10

Rocker in the nose improves float, a flatter zone beneath the front foot creates control and positive camber through the rear section delivers edge hold, pop and power through the tail.

Directional Flax Walls:
Vertical flax-fibre reinforcement in the nose increases stability and power in steep terrain, uneven snow and at high speeds.

Fibreglass running in three directions creates greater torsional rigidity, precise power transfer and a stable feel as the pace increases.
